Specially shaped and designed to follow the horse’s natural movement, the Kentucky Horsewear Sheepskin Anatomic Girth offers both comfort and freedom. It relieves the horse’s shoulders and elbows, allowing them to breathe better while still limiting the risk of injuries. It features elastics on both ends to equalize the pressure as well as three D-rings to accommodate schooling equipment and a buckle to attach the breastplate to the girth. The elastics are very strong and stay firm as they are three double made. The Sheepskin Anatomic Girth features an EVA protective inner.
The artificial sheepskin offers excellent cushioning against the skin. The girth is made out of artificial leather, making it 100% animal-friendly and easy to maintain. Kentucky Horsewear developed a Tack Cleaner to clean our artificial leather. Very easy and efficient! The artificial leather doesn’t take in any dirt, sweat, or water and is therefore very durable! It does not change color and doesn’t get damaged easily.

Comfortable and luxurious! You can wash the fleece.
So far so good! I had to switch girths because my horse has some lymphatic drainage problems in his underbelly. Regular girths cause him to swell up because they are too constrictive. I did a lot of research and settled on this girth as it has a wider belly to it, lots of soft sheep skin padding and strong elastic. I can cinch it up to be just tight enough it holds the saddle n place but not worry that it is putting too much pressure and constriction on his vessels and musculature. So far he has not had any problems with this girth and he moves freely. Very pleased and so is my boy 😊
It is very comfortable and great for my sensitive horse. I just ordered an additional fleece cover for it and wish to get another cover when it comes in stock. I am very happy with this purchase especially since fleece is the most comfortable in our cold CNY weather 6 months a year. I had given up getting fleece since my horse needs the anatomic shape. So I am very happy that I decided to give this one a try.
